Sunwapta River Rafting – Jasper’s Whitewater Thrill Get ready for a heart-pounding ride on the Sunwapta River, Jasper’s thrilling Class 3 whitewater adventure! With a steep gradient and continuous rapids, this trip delivers non-stop excitement—especially during peak flow from mid-June to late July. Your adventure begins with a scenic 45-minute drive to the launch site, where you’ll gear up and receive a thorough safety briefing from your expert guide. Then, hop into a 6-person self-bailing raft and navigate 13 km of technical, fast-moving water. Punch through waves, tackle the legendary “Whopper” rapid, and enjoy breathtaking Rocky Mountain scenery along the way. Located in a remote wilderness area, this stretch of river offers occasional wildlife sightings from the raft or during your return trip. This 4-hour experience includes 1.5 hours on the water and is perfect for adventure seekers aged 12+ (minimum 90 lbs/41 kg). No experience needed—just a taste for adrenaline!
