Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site

Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site in Banff offers an easy mountaintop boardwalk walk with a fascinating science history twist. Built by the National Research Council in the winter of 1956–57, this former research station once monitored cosmic rays high above Banff National Park. Travellers follow a short interpretive boardwalk along the ridge to reach Sanson’s Peak, surrounded by sweeping mountain and valley views.
