In the hotel lobby, a 75-inch digital display presents photographs dating back to the late 1800s, accompanied by descriptive details that add context to the people, places and moments pictured. The exhibits introduce the Iyarhe Nakoda, the original Peoples of the Mountains, and their enduring connection to their traditional lands. Their territory extended from the Great Plains, where they hunted buffalo, through the Rocky Mountain foothills and watersheds and across mountain passes into the British Columbia interior.
