Stettler Town and Country Museum offers visitors an immersive glimpse into Alberta’s past, standing proudly as the province’s fifth-largest pioneer village. Spread across ten scenic acres on the southwest edge of Stettler, the site features more than twenty-five historic buildings that invite exploration and discovery. Guests can wander through early 1900s schoolhouses, a courthouse, a church, a farmhouse, and a combined grocery, mail, and residence building. Unique structures such as an Estonian log house and an authentic CN Railway station with its caboose further enrich the experience. The museum’s village-style layout encourages visitors to explore at their own pace, stepping into each home or business to imagine daily life from another era. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are always ready to assist with local history insights and family research, making each visit both meaningful and memorable.
