Shokunin

Shokunin is Calgary’s first yakitoria, offering a Japanese-inspired dining experience focused on expert Robata grilling. Led by Chef Darren MacLean, the restaurant features more than 20 cuts of chicken and meat, prepared simply with salt, fat, and fire to create bold, refined flavours. The intimate, open-plan space seats 50 guests and includes a Chef’s Bar overlooking the grill. Guests can dine à la carte or book the Yakitori Omakase Experience to sample rare cuts that often sell out quickly. With locally sourced and farm-grown ingredients used whenever possible, Shokunin delivers a distinctive and thoughtfully crafted culinary experience.
