This campground is popular with people looking for a little peace and quiet. But it’s also popular with the stock car racing crowd. The first group is drawn to the location beside the Pembina River within the hamlet of Sangudo in the Northern Rockies region. The second group likes that the campground is next to Sangudo’s stock car race track. Of course, the campground has features that appeal to both groups. These include ball diamonds, a skateboard park, horseshoe pits and a group camping area. The campground also has firewood for sale, washrooms with showers and an on-site caretaker. The river is great for fishing. Floating downstream, swimming and kayaking are great ways to cool off on a hot summer day. You’re bound to have a good time. Just be sure to ask if your visit coincides with a stock car race when you make your booking.
