The beach provides easy access to Sandy Lake, which does not permit power boats, making it a tranquil spot for swimming, fishing and paddling. Pets are welcome at Sandy Beach Campground, and firewood is available for purchase. The campground is open from early May to late September and offers daily as well as seasonal rates. Reservations are recommended.
