The museum invites visitors to discover the stories of the Rosebud, Redland, and Beynon area. Guests can relax on the patio or in a welcoming lobby designed for browsing the library, playing crokinole or crib, or working on a puzzle. A donation grants access to over 3,300 square feet of exhibits, and visitors can receive free photocopies of family history pages from local history books. Inside, guests can explore a 1920–30s settler’s room, view watercolours and drawings by W. Ray Salt, admire Mary Job’s collection of more than a thousand salt and pepper shakers, and see Dude Cote’s antique tools. Highlights also include Darcy Morton’s 1923 Calgary Stampede award-winning outfit, displays on Stampede legends, the Goose Lake rail line, and Dick Cosgrave’s cartoon postcards. Outside, visitors will find a recreated grain elevator mural and 15 signs showcasing local building and settler history. Local handcrafts and refreshments are available in the Museum Market. Established by the Rosebud Lions Club in 1967.
