Visitors discover the stories of the "Valley of the many Rosebuds". Relax on the patio or in our welcoming lobby designed for browsing the library, playing crokinole or crib, or working on a puzzle. A donation grants access to over 3,300 square feet of exhibits, and visitors can receive free photocopies of family history pages from local history books. Guests explore a 1920–30s settler’s room, view watercolours and drawings by W. Ray Salt, admire Mary Job’s collection of more than a thousand salt & pepper shakers, and Dude Cote’s antique tools. Highlights include Darcy Morton’s 1923 Calgary Stampede (Metis beading) award-winning outfit, Stampede legends, the Goose Lake rail line, and Dick Cosgrave’s cartoon postcards. Outside, find a recreated grain elevator mural and 15 signs showcasing local building and settler history. Local handcrafts and refreshments are available in the Museum Market. Established by the Rosebud Lions Club in 1967. Wheelchair & Family friendly.
