Rocky View Brewing Company is a microbrewery located between the city of Calgary and the town of Cochrane, in the beautiful Foothills of Alberta. The brewery was established in 2016 out of a passion for crafting great-tasting beer, one small batch at a time. The co-founder enjoyed sharing his homebrew creations with family and friends so much that he convinced his wife to expand into a commercial-scale operation so his brews could be shared with others who also enjoy drinking fresh and flavorful local beer. What started as an offering of three flagship ales; Blonde, Amber and IPA, has now grown to also include German Style Pilsner, Belgian Witbier, Brown Ale and the seasonal Adventure Series brews. Their focus is on brewing approachable beers to bring an enjoyable experience to a broad range of craft beer enthusiasts. Celebrating their family Cree heritage, they incorporate Indigenous ingredients into their beers where ever possible and the beers do not contain any additives or preservatives. This is a family-owned brewery located on an acreage in the rural area of Bearspaw, Alberta. It is here that a home brewing passion expanded into a fully operational brewery in 2016. In early 2019 Rocky View Brewing Company transitioned to become a full-time business endeavor and has since expanded its product distribution across Alberta and opened a Taproom in Historic Downtown Cochrane in December 2021.
