Redwater and District Museum

Redwater Museum is tucked away in a small strip mall, between the Public Library and a restaurant. The nondescript frontage hides the wonderful adventure you’ll find inside. As you walk through the doors, you’ll be transported back in time to the homesteading era of the Redwater area and the history of the one-room schools that dotted the landscape. The pictures and artifacts take you on a journey from wilderness to an emerging hamlet & Boomtown Alberta, when oil was discovered near Redwater. Winter hours: The museum is open Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:30 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The museum is also open by appointment by calling the facility at 780-942-2071, Florence at 780-916-7638, or Valerie at 780-288-6757. New members welcome!
