The Red Deer Lions Campground pulls off a pretty neat trick. It’s both a peaceful setting on the banks of the Red Deer River and a campground located in the heart of the bustling city of Red Deer. Campers get the best of both worlds. The campground offers serviced and unserviced sites. The serviced sites range from power only (15 amp) to full hook-up (30 amp) to premium full hook-up (50 amp). There are also overflow sites with no services. Reservations are recommended and are accepted for stays as long as 28 days. The city of Red Deer has every store and service you could ever need, so stocking up on longer stays is not a problem. The Red Deer River offers plenty of recreational opportunities. Campers can launch canoes or kayaks, take a leisurely float or go for a quick swim. The campground also borders the city’s extensive trail network, which is ideal for walking and cycling.
