Pinehurst Lake Campground sits within the Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area. That name is accurate, as this part of northern Alberta is dotted with beautiful lakes. You’ll find the campground about 50 km (30 mi) southwest of Lac La Biche. The campground is open from mid-May to early September. It has 125 sites, all with 30-amp power. The amenities include a boat launch, a pier and a life jacket loaner station. Pinehurst Lake is a popular spot for local anglers, so you’ll also find fish-cleaning stations in the campground. There is also a cook shelter, a picnic shelter and a water pump, but campers should bring their own drinking water. The kids will enjoy the playground.
