As Calgary’s first contemporary art gallery, the Paul Kuhn Gallery served for many years as the sole venue for experimental art and emerging artists. Since its inception, the gallery dedicated itself to representing the best of innovative, progressive, and established Canadian art and artists. With 3,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space, the gallery shows work in all media: painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, and printmaking. The Paul Kuhn Gallery was instrumental in launching the careers of many artists and played a leading role in the expansion of Calgary’s contemporary gallery scene. The space also plays host to many community events, including book launches, performance art, poetry readings, and musical concerts.
