Obed Lake Provincial Park, located in Alberta’s Northern Rockies, offers quiet lakeside camping with easy access to paddling and wildlife viewing. A short 20-minute drive from Hinton brings visitors to three small lakes surrounded by wetlands and upland forest, creating a peaceful escape into Alberta’s wild side. Nature enthusiasts can watch for abundant wildlife and birds, including visiting trumpeter swans that nest just outside the park. The park features a small campground suited to both RVs and tents, with sites close to the water. The calm lakes invite fishing, power boating, canoeing and kayaking, giving travellers plenty of ways to explore the shoreline and soak in the stillness.
