Obed Lake Provincial Park

A 20-minute drive from Hinton will bring you to Obed Lake Provincial Park, which preserves three small lakes (the Obed Lakes) and the surrounding wetlands and upland areas. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of wildlife and birds in the area, including visiting trumpeter swans (which nest just outside of the park). Visitors to the park can camp at a small campground suited for both RVs and tents. The lakes offer fishing, power boating, canoeing, and kayaking opportunities.
