Nose Hill Park

Nose Hill Park is a vast natural park in Calgary, home to one of the last remaining rough fescue grasslands on the Canadian prairies. With over 60 km of trails, it’s perfect for hiking and walking year-round. In fall, the park bursts with colour as aspens and shrubs turn brilliant gold and amber. Alongside its ecological value, Nose Hill holds cultural significance — the Siksikaitsitapi Medicine Wheel, created by Blackfoot elders, honours Indigenous history and connection to the land. Ongoing improvements by the City of Calgary continue to enhance trail access while protecting this rare prairie ecosystem.
