Nickle Galleries

Nickle Galleries in Calgary offers free admission to contemporary art, textiles and currency collections, making discovery easy for every visitor. Three exhibitions highlight contemporary art from Western Canada alongside displays drawn from textile and numismatic collections. Visitors can explore creative work, intricate rugs and objects connected to the study of currency—all within the Taylor Family Digital Library on the University of Calgary campus. The galleries collaborate with university departments and faculties as well as art, rug and numismatic communities. These connections support learning, research and discovery, giving curious travellers an inviting place to encounter different ideas, materials and perspectives.
