The “hideaway” part of Nature’s Hideaway Family Campground should be taken literally. This beautiful spot is tucked away in a leafy valley and is surrounded on three sides by the Highwood River. The river is ideal for a leisurely float downstream or a swim, and the private beach is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Nature’s Hideaway caters to families with a playground, horseshoe pits and sports equipment. Quiet time begins at 11 p.m. The campground also has flush toilets, showers and a small store. It also offers tenting sites, sites with full hookups and a group camping area. All sites have picnic tables and firepits. Firewood is sold at the office. The campground is open from mid-April to mid-October. Reservations are recommended for those with large RVs and on weekends during the high season.
