Michener Park Campground is ideal for those who like to camp close to town. The campground is located on the outskirts of Lacombe so conveniences are never far, but it also offers everything you want for a family camping trip. Enjoy endless outdoor entertainment onsite, with horseshoe pits, ball diamonds, soccer fields, walking trails, a playground and a skateboard park. You’ll find 37 treed sites with power hookups, each with a picnic table and fire pit. If you have time, take a drive to one of the nearby day-use areas. Take your picnic to Les Walker Rotary Park, which has a large gazebo, picnic tables and a pond. You can also let your dog run free at Len Thompson Offleash Dog Park, or invite your youngsters to practice their catch-and-release skills at the Len Thompson Fish Pond. Access the Michener Park Campground from the Lacombe Golf and Country Club on the city's west side.
