Medicine Lodge Campground

The Medicine Lodge Campground is beautifully and conveniently located halfway between Edson and Hinton - 3Km south of Highway 16 in the Mcleod River valley. It is host to stocked fishing ponds, walking trails, a playground, indoor bathrooms, large animal accommodations (ie: horse pens), potable water, beautiful sites with provided fire pits and wood (with camping fee), and Mcleod River access. Designed to give travels an authentic Albertan feel, it is a refreshing break for people on the road or who plan on camping for a weekend. The grounds also host private functions such as weddings and or receptions, work events, family reunions or any other gatherings. They also host two rodeos (Amateur in the May and Professional in September) as well as the Alberta Overland Expo.
