Makers of the “original” soft beef jerky, Medicine Hat Meat Traders Ltd. is a family-owned business in southeast Alberta. The ranch was established in 1934, and the family has been making award-winning craft jerky since 2006. Four generations have helped provide customers with a delicious snacking experience. Medicine Hat Meat Traders uses a variety of premium Alberta beef, including organic, natural, grass-fed, and even grain fed or finished, as it is unsurpassed in flavour, taste, and sustainability. The company comes up with new flavours, constantly trying new spice blends to add to its already diverse selection of jerky. Favorites include sweet mustard and onion, barbeque, curry with orange, and whiskey-marinated maple.
