Little Fish Lake Provincial Park

Located among the grassy hills of southern Alberta, this quiet provincial park is named for Little Fish Lake on its eastern boundary. For generations, Indigenous people in the area dried and smoked fish from the lake to eat during the winter; eventually, settlers also caught fish here. Because Little Fish Lake and its surrounding ponds are important habitats for waterfowl, you’ll see dozens of species of ducks and shorebirds here. Naturally, the park is a destination for birders, as well as those looking for a quiet camping destination.
