Leighton Art Centre

Situated in A.C. and Barbara Leighton's original home, the Leighton Art Centre is a Heritage Home Museum that offers a vibrant display of Alberta's artists both past and present. With 80 acres of land and a number of walking trails, the center is also an ideal spot to get a clear view of over 300 miles of the magnificent Rocky Mountains. Leighton Art Centre hosts visual art exhibitions, creative workshops, nature walks, festivals, and art sales, kids' summer camps, and art-inspired field trips throughout the year. Located just 20 minutes south-west of Calgary and a short drive from Millarville, Black Diamond, and Turner Valley, amidst the rolling hills and winding country roads of the Alberta MD of Foothills, the Leighton Art Centre is a must for any Foothills-area day trip.
