Lake McGregor Provincial Recreation Area, located in Vulcan County near McGregor Lake, offers lakeside camping with easy access to water activities. This prairie gem sits about 20 km north of Vulcan on Hwy. 23 and 25 km east on Hwy. 542, making it a convenient escape into wide-open skies and calm waters. Sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and fishing are popular here, giving visitors plenty of ways to enjoy the lake on warm days. Travellers can watch for many kinds of birds, including striking white pelicans that gather at this prairie oasis. With about 100 sites suitable for both RVs and tents, campers can settle in close to the shoreline and relax by the water, a welcome break from the summer heat.
