Lac Beauvert
Lac Beauvert in Jasper offers calm turquoise waters, easy lakeside walking and summer swims for a relaxed Rocky Mountain escape. This glacier-fed lake truly lives up to its “beautiful green” name, with clear water framed by rugged peaks and thick forest. A scenic 4 km (2.5 mi) trail circles the shoreline, giving visitors gentle walking and plenty of photo stops along the way. The lake sits beside Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and its golf course, so it is easy to pair a stroll with a meal, a round of golf or a quiet lakeside break. In summer, the Boathouse lets guests trade the shoreline for the open water with paddleboats, canoes and guided clipper tours. Wildlife is often nearby, and elk are a common sight along the shore—along with the occasional stray golf ball. Parking is available off Old Fort Point Road, making it simple to launch a kayak, canoe or paddleboard and explore Jasper’s wild side from the water.
