La Crete Mennonite Heritage Village in La Crête offers a seasonal open-air museum experience that brings local Mennonite history to life for visitors. Just a few kilometres from town, this heritage village features six historic homes, a flour mill, store, school, sawmill, original Tompkins Landing ferry and several outbuildings. Together they highlight how Mennonite settlers lived, worked and built community in the La Crete area. Open from May to September, the museum welcomes guests by donation, making it an accessible stop for families and history enthusiasts. Guided tours are available to add context, stories and insight to each building and artifact on site.
