J.J. Collett Provincial Natural Area, located near the hamlet of Morningside in central Alberta, offers peaceful trails for year-round outdoor exploration. This 635-acre Aspen Parkland natural area features over 18 kilometres of maintained trails that wind through shrublands, aspen groves, white spruce stands, wetlands and open meadows. Visitors can hike, jog or simply wander, discovering a mosaic of habitats typical of central Alberta. In winter, the gently rolling terrain is ideal for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, while bird watchers can enjoy changing species through the seasons.
