Interlakes Campground

Sitting on the shore of Lower Kananaskis Lake, Interlakes Campground serves up mesmerizing views and abundant activity for campers of all kinds. The lake itself invites canoeing, fishing and boating. Half of the 48 well-treed campsites are right on the lake, so your small boat never has to leave the water. A paved path creates wheelchair-accessible sites and is ideal for young bikers to explore. Cyclists can ride to Upper Kananaskis Lake, where there’s a well-groomed walking trail around the lake. Hikers have easy access to many trailheads from the campground, including Rawson Lake, Elbow Lake, Elbow Lake to Elbow Loop, Hidden Lake, Kananaskis Fire Lookout, Fossil Falls, Astor Lake, and Three Isle Lake. The campground is inside Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. From Highway 1, head south on Kananaskis Trail (Highway 40) for 50 km (31 mi), then take Kananaskis Lakes Trail to Interlakes Campground.
