Hubert Lake Wildland Provincial Park

Hubert Lake Wildland Provincial Park, located in Alberta’s Lakelands region, offers remote sand dunes, lakes and wetlands for quiet, low-impact exploration. This wildland park protects a rare sand dune complex surrounded by numerous lakes and wetlands that feel far from busy campgrounds and highways. It provides important habitat for a small caribou herd and is a significant nesting area for great blue herons and sandhill cranes, making it a meaningful destination for patient wildlife watchers and nature photographers. Random backcountry camping is permitted, with no designated campsites, facilities, permits or fees, so visitors must be fully self-sufficient and follow leave-no-trace practices to help protect this sensitive landscape.
