Embrace winter and enjoy a new activity outside - adventures by dogsled! Howling Dog Tours has been offering guided tours since 1995 in the Canadian Rockies near Canmore, Alberta. There is plenty of dog interaction; learn how to harness the Alaskan and Siberian Huskies, and reward them with a biscuit and water after the run. Each sled is guided for the safety of the dogs and guests, so sit back and enjoy the ride and beautiful scenery, or take a turn driving the sled with your guide! The tours are suitable for ages two and up, with no physical fitness requirements. Two-hour tours are offered in the winter season, December through April, with up to 4 departures per day. The 4-hour tour is offered from mid-January to mid-March, weather and trail dependent. Snack and hot beverages are included, along with transportation from Canmore. Transportation from Banff is limited, with restrictions and additional cost.
