Harvie Passage Whitewater Park

Loading...

Harvie Passage Whitewater Park in Calgary’s Inglewood neighbourhood offers riverside whitewater fun with easy access and space to relax by the Bow River. This urban recreation area sits beside Pearce Estate Park on the Bow River in southeast Calgary, with a mix of natural shoreline and built spots to picnic, cool off, or enjoy a sunny day outdoors. The right, or south, channel features gentler Class 2 whitewater where most visitors float and play, while the left, or north, channel has much stronger Class 3+ water that is not recommended for casual users. In summer, visitors can use a free life jacket loaning station, along with porta-potties and change rooms for convenience. The Passage can be reached by floating downriver or by walking, biking, or wheeling in from Pearce Estate Park. Because this is still a live river with fast currents, rocks, and slippery surfaces, caution and a properly fitted life jacket are always recommended.
