Ha Ling Trail
For the most current information on trail closures and advisories, please visit the Alberta Parks website. This trail provides access to Ha Ling Peak, an impressive landmark that overlooks the town of Canmore. Generally considered a challenging tour, the trail is maintained for the 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles) to the base of the scramble (commonly referred to as the Saddle) and involves stairs along the way. The final 400 metres (985 feet) of distance and 103 metres (338 feet) of elevation to the peak is on an unmaintained trail, which is a scramble traversing through loose, rocky terrain. Ha Ling Peak is open year-round, but micro-spikes are highly recommended in winter due to extremely icy conditions. Distance: 7.8 km / 4.85 mi / Return Elevation: 810 m / 2,657 ft
