Greenwood Campground in Sundre’s Central Prairies offers riverside camping close to shops and services, making it easy to stock up and explore on foot. Set on the west bank of the Red Deer River just two blocks south of the town stoplight, this compact campground features 37 sites, including 2 full-service, 17 power-only and 18 unserviced options. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire pit, with firewood available so guests can settle in around the campfire. Travellers appreciate the on-site sani-dump station and potable water, which make longer stays simple and convenient. A central gazebo offers a sheltered gathering spot, while the playground gives kids space to burn off energy between adventures in town or along the riverbank.
