GP Brewing Company

GP Brewing Company in Grande Prairie crafts small-batch beer with Peace Country barley and spring water for a fresh, local taste. Its story began at Whisky Fest in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2012, where friends Matt Toni and Derek Moe found inspiration after sampling whiskies from around the world. They returned to Grande Prairie ready to try distilling, but a few test batches of clear whisky led them in a different direction: brewing beer. From its home in the heart of the city, the brewery works with barley farmers across the Peace Country. It grows, harvests and processes its own malts, giving the team a hands-on role from grain to glass. The beer is made without pasteurization or preservatives, keeping each small batch grounded in local ingredients.
