The Galloway Station Museum is located in the beautiful RCMP Centennial Park in Edson, Alberta, and is easily accessible from the Yellowhead highway. The Galloway tells the story of Edson’s railway roots and the area’s role in the epic folly of the Grand Trunk Pacific and the Canadian Northern’s race west. The museum will also take you back to the early days of the Alberta Coal Branch, chronicling the lives of miners from around the globe who risked life and limb to provide for their families. The Galloway helps people link the past to the present – touting not only geographical attractions of the area, but also historical high points that enrich the experiences, and the lives, of locals and travelers. Stop by to stretch your legs and stay for a few minutes or a few hours. Or... experience the Galloway Station Museum from the comfort and safety of home! Visit their website for a virtual tour of the exhibits, local history quizzes, and archival puzzles.
