Located in the heart of Old Strathcona’s Theatre District, the Fringe Theatre Arts Barns is home to the annual Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, the largest, longest-running Fringe Theatre Festival in North America. The Arts Barns are a home for the arts 365 days a year. Boasting three professionally equipped theatres, two studio spaces, and the Fringe Grounds Cafe, the Arts Barns hosts more than 500 events year-round. From professional theatre runs to dance performances, concerts to weddings, conferences to school programs, they expertly support every event with flexibility and creativity. The building is open to the community as a resource and gathering space. This is a safer space for brave ideas and big artistic risk, where chance encounters grow into meaningful collaborations and experimental first inklings become brilliant realizations.
