Dinosaur Provincial Park Campground is found 48 km (30 mi) northeast of Brooks. There are more than 100 RV and tent-friendly sites, including unserviced, powered, and pull-through options. The campground also boasts 7 comfort camping sites and a group camp site. The campground is nestled in a valley by the Red Deer River and shaded by cottonwood trees. It’s a popular spot with paddlers who can take advantage of the hand launch to get canoes and kayaks out on the river. The campground features the Dinosaur Service Centre with a privately operated food concession, coin operated shower facilities, coin operated laundry facilities, and campground registration booth (open seasonally). An amphitheatre hosts shows in July and August. Head to the Visitor Centre, where movies and interactive exhibits will teach you about this unique place. You can also book a tour to get out on the land and learn about fossils. Reservations are a must during the busy summer season.
