Located east of Calgary, Chestermere Lake is a beautiful 4.8km long lake that provides many water activities. Boaters are welcome on the lake. Feel free to enjoy the wind in your hair and try out your wakeboard, water skis, or tubes. Non-motorized boats such as canoes, kayaks, sailboats, and paddleboats also make use of the lake. With a fishing license, you can also fish at Chestermere Lake, where several very large fish have been caught. Buoys placed near the parks during summer mark shoreline areas for swimming. There are no lifeguards on duty so please swim at your own risk. In winter, you can skate or even snowmobile on the frozen ice.
