The Main Campground sits near downtown Carbon, a charming village about 120 km (70 mi) northeast of Calgary. The well-appointed campground has 22 campsites (30 amp and 50 amp). All sites have water, and some also offer sewer hookups. There are flush toilets and free showers, as well as a camp kitchen that can be rented for those looking to practice their gourmet skills in the great outdoors. Wi-Fi is available. The camp’s location in Carbon means campers are close to the village’s Centennial Pool, archery range, playgrounds and ball diamonds. Carbon also has restaurants for those who need a break from cooking and stores for those looking to stock up on essentials. Campers will also want to hit the 3 km (1.8 mi) of walking trails surrounding the village and offer leisurely strolls or bike rides.
