Canmore Museum

Canmore Museum in Canmore shares local history through exhibits, tours and programs that connect visitors with the mountain community. Each summer, Roving Scientist interpreters bring stories to life along Canmore’s trails, while adventure experiences invite visitors and locals to explore the area from a fresh perspective. Walking tours lead to historic sites within easy reach of the museum, and events offer more ways to engage throughout the year. Behind every experience is a rich community-donated collection of artifacts, photographs, records and maps held in the public trust. School and community programs welcome nearly 2,000 students and families annually, helping local stories stay relevant for new generations.
