Calgary Horticultural Society Garden

Horticulture is the art, science, technology, and business of growing plants. It includes the cultivation of food and of non-food crops such as grasses and ornamental trees and plants. It also includes plant conservation, landscape restoration, landscape, and garden design, construction and maintenance, and arboriculture. The Calgary Horticultural Society focuses on meaningful growing spaces in the community. As such, Calgarians are invited to visit public gardens throughout the city. The Society also invites people to visit the educational garden to discover what is really possible in this particular climate. The Garden at the Calgary Horticultural Society is a perfect example of yard transformation. Located on City of Calgary land in southwest Calgary, there is an attached 50s-style bungalow. The garden allows visitors to dream of what is possible in their own backyards.
