Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area - Loops

Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area - Loops, located near Brazeau Dam in Alberta’s Northern Rockies, offers camping by a peaceful forest reservoir. Reservoir Loops sits about 60 km southwest of Drayton Valley on Highway 620 and features more than 50 campsites, with a mix of powered and unserviced options. Tall trees and open sky give campers room to relax, whether they are staying for a weekend or a longer escape. Travellers can fish, canoe or sail on the broad reservoir, then wander informal trails to watch birds and other wildlife along the shoreline. With off-highway vehicles not permitted in the campground, evenings stay quiet, making it easier to hear loons on the water and enjoy unhurried time around the fire.
