Bluerock Equestrian Campground

Bluerock Equestrian Campground, located 35 km west of Turner Valley on Highway 546, offers a tranquil setting for equestrian campers in Sheep River Provincial Park. Open from May 15 to September 13, this first-come, first-served campground features 17 unserviced sites suitable for both RVs and tents. The $39 per night rate includes accommodation for two horses, with an additional $7 per night for each extra horse. Facilities include hitching rails, horse corrals, a loading ramp, firepits, vault toilets, and a hand pump for water—though it's recommended to bring your own drinking water. Firewood is available for purchase at the manager's site or from a firewood truck. Please note that this campground is intended for campers bringing horses. If you're not using the campground for equestrian purposes, consider other nearby campgrounds to ensure availability for those who require these specialized facilities.
