Blind Enthusiasm Brewing Company in Edmonton pairs finely crafted beer with creative European-inspired fare at its restaurant, Biera. The brewery is the brainchild of businessman and craft beer enthusiast Greg Zeschuk, best known for creating video game developer BioWare. After selling the company, he channelled his passion into a new venture, opening the brewery with his partners in Edmonton’s Ritchie Market complex in July 2017. A showpiece brewhouse sits inside a glass box beside Biera’s warm, industrial dining room. Chef Christine Sandford’s menu draws inspiration from European bistro fare, while head brewer Rob Monk creates delicately balanced beers designed to complement the food and welcome a range of beer drinkers.
