Bleriot Ferry Campground sits on the bank of the Red Deer River. It’s the perfect spot to relax in the shade among the giant cottonwoods. Campers are within easy reach of Drumheller and right next door to the Bleriot Ferry. The cable ferry is both a vital transportation link and an attraction in its own right. If you’re looking for more to do, the Bleriot Ferry Provincial Recreation Area is great for paddlers, hikers and mountain bikers. The 14 unserviced sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to bring firewood and drinking water, as neither are available onsite. The campground does have a picnic shelter and a boat launch perfect for kayaks and canoes. The river is also a popular spot among anglers. Bleriot Ferry Campground is open from late May to early September. Payment is by cash or cheque only.
