The Blackshale Suspension Bridge in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, is a 73 m (240 ft) long bridge that spans Blackshale Creek, offering hikers and bikers a unique experience along the High Rockies Trail. Accessible via a 6.1 km round-trip hike from the Black Prince Day Use area or a shorter 1 km route from the Smith-Dorrien Trail, the bridge provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Note that the bridge is often closed in the winter months when snow levels are too high for safety purposes.
