Blackfoot Grill

Blackfoot Grill in Stand Off, Alberta, serves Indigenous-inspired comfort food that connects travellers with local Blood Reserve flavours. Founded in 2016 by father-and-son team Brent and Clayton Chief Body on the Blood Reserve, this family-run food trailer has grown from feeding local residents to welcoming guests at powwows, farmers’ markets and special events across southern Alberta. Seasonal operations include a busy summer and fall on the road, followed by winter catering for meetings, funerals, weddings and community gatherings. After two years, the team expanded to operate the Iitoy'op Restaurant in the Blood Tribe administration building. The Stand Off location now serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and acts as the base for the catering department, helping visitors and locals share comforting meals at important occasions.
