Anthony Henday Museum

Anthony Henday Museum in Delburne brings local history to life through railway buildings and exhibits that are easy to explore. Housed in a former Canadian National Railway station on Main Street, the museum shares the story of Anthony Henday, who passed through the area in 1754 while on a mission for the Hudson’s Bay Company. Visitors can connect this early journey with the people, places and transportation history that shaped the community. Exhibits extend beyond the station into two floors of a Canadian National Railway water tower, giving travellers an unusual setting for discovering the past. The Wood Lake School exhibit offers another window into local life, while the popular train caboose adds a memorable railway experience. Together, these spaces invite curious visitors to slow down and explore Delburne’s stories from several perspectives.
