Anthony Henday Campground

The campground is named after the man who explored much of the prairies in the 1750s. That’s fitting because it’s an excellent place to break up a long journey. It’s conveniently located in Innisfail right off the QEII highway, Alberta’s main north-south corridor. The Anthony Henday Campground is also a great spot to get back to nature and relax. It’s in the northwest corner of Innisfail, so it’s far enough from the highway to be removed from traffic sounds. The location makes it easy to get into Innisfail to stock up on supplies, visit a craft brewery or grab a meal. The campground features 42 powered sites (15 amp and 30 amp) and five sites in a tenting room that can accommodate groups. It also has modern washrooms, free showers, a cook shack, playground, and a full-time camp attendant.
