Wordfest presents a Celebration of Richard Wagamese

Wordfest presents a Celebration of Richard Wagamese in Calgary, offering readers a closer look at the acclaimed author’s life and legacy. Shelagh Rogers and David A. Robertson come together to honour Wagamese, including his years as a Calgary Herald columnist. Their conversation offers readers a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the person behind his influential writing and the relationships that helped carry his work forward. The event follows Kanata Classics’ release of Starlight, the coda to Wagamese’s iconic novel Medicine Walk, featuring an introduction by his “chosen sister,” Rogers. Robertson, who wrote the introduction to the publisher’s rerelease of Medicine Walk, joins her in celebrating Wagamese’s enduring literary legacy.
