Where the Wild Things Roam Women's Backpacking Adventure

This exhilarating backcountry summer adventure focuses on one of the wildest animals of the Rockies – that’s right, the Porcupine! This all women’s backpacking trip will head deep into Porcupine territory as you hike the subalpine forests around Upper Kananaskis lakes. Your guides will bring a two-eyed seeing approach to understanding the Porcupine - a mix of Western and Indigenous knowledge shared through stories and activities mixed throughout this trip. This is a three-day adventure to where the wild things roam. On Day 1, the group will hike 7.62 km to the Forks Campground. Day 2 is the crux of the route, as hikers will ascend 463 metres up a headwall to the Three Isle Lakes campground. The sweat and effort is worth it, as this is a stunning alpine location. It is also home to a number of Porcupines, whose antics will delight during time spent at this special place. Day 3 is a longer day as the group heads back to the trailhead and away from where the wild things roam.
